Voxel
Voxel is a dynamic graphic design capstone exhibition at Oklahoma State University, showcasing 25 seniors whose diverse backgrounds and individual design voices come together through a vibrant, pixel-inspired visual identity that celebrates both individuality and collective growth.
I was part of a team of seven students, selected by our peers and professors, to design and art direct the exhibition. Our work spanned the full identity system, including poster and postcard design, photography direction, 25 printed biography cards, social media marketing, a newspaper ad, motion design, a custom wordmark, and a central installation.
The poster concept visually represents our shared journey: four large voxels symbolize our professors, seven two-plane voxels represent our design team, and eighteen single-plane voxels stand in for the remaining seniors. While each of us followed a unique path, this moment brings us together to showcase our work and reflect on our growth.
Each senior also created a custom pattern to express their individuality, featured on their bio card and woven throughout the exhibition’s visual branding.
Team Voxel consisted of Jamie Kimball, Elly Campbell, Bryant Chitsey, Merrick Bayouth, Matt Lacey, Margaret Price, and Lydia Bart.
